‘Pak Rangers violate ceasefire along IB’
India’s Border Security Forces (BSF) on Saturday resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on border villages in Bajwat sector of Sialkot Working Boundary, damaging many houses.
“There was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the Pakistani firing”, he said.
Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire in four different areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday night, said army sources. Indian firing continued till afternoon intermittently.
This is second ceasefire violation along the IB in 12 hours, he said.
Pakistan troops have violated the bilateral ceasefire agreement over a dozen times during the last seven days on the border, causing panic among thousands of villagers in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
Before the firing exchanges began, BSF personnel defused a bomb on the Indian side in Pallanwalla area of Akhnoor sector in the district.
There have been 18 ceasefire violations along the Indo-Pak border in July in which four persons, including three jawans, were killed.
