Pakistan role in Gurdaspur attack visible: Rajnath Singh
He urged the government of India to refrain from casting baseless allegations and work with Pakistan to eliminate terrorism from the region and create an environment of peace and amity in South Asia.
“The preliminary analysis of Global Positioning System data indicates that the terrorists had infiltrated from Pakistan through the area near Tash in Gurdaspur district, where the Ravi river enters Pakistan“, said Singh in a statement in Rajya Sabha.

In his statement the home minster said that during the last one month, there were five attempts at cross-border infiltration in the J&K sector, out of which four were interdicted and eight terrorists were neutralised.
“We have affirmed many times that terrorism is our common enemy and requires a co-operative approach to combat the menace rather than a blame game”.

Commenting on India’s aggression at the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary, he said Pakistan is capable of defending itself against any aggression. “Pakistan wants sustained talks to resolve all outstanding issues with India”, Qazi Khalilullah said.
Minister of state for Home Affairs Kiren Rijju has said there is no news of any hostage crisis and it is “too early to give the exact number of casualties as of now”. “We are committed to good neighbourly relations with Afghanistan. With this objective in view, both sides remain in contact with each other at various levels to further promote co-operation between the two countries”, he added.
He said a decision on the NSA talks was part of “a diplomatic strategy” and would be taken by the government and the foreign ministry.
