Palestinian assailant killed, 2 protesters dead
Hebron has been a flashpoint in the last three months of near-daily Palestinian attacks.
Oudi Jihad Arsheed, 22, was shot dead during protests, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military shot and killed another Palestinian, identified as Issa Hroub, 55, near al-Khalil, claiming he had attempted to ram his auto into Israeli forces at a checkpoint there.
On Friday, to bury Ershied next to sister, Dania, hundreds of mourners had gathered.
It said that forces present “shot the attacker, resulting in his death”, adding that no Israelis were injured in the attack.
“In order to disperse the crowd, (forces fired) 0.22 calibre rounds towards the main instigators and warning shots into the air”.
According to IMEMC, the Israeli soldiers targeted medics, opened fire on a Red Crescent ambulance causing damage to its windshield, and searched an ambulance while transferring a wounded Palestinian to a hospital.

After Friday’s protest, clashes broke out between Palestinian stone throwers and Israeli soldiers, with six Palestinians wounded, an AFP correspondent said.
There were no Israelis injured in the assault at the Gilboa crossing near Jenin, according to ministry spokeswoman Arielle Heffez.
In a separate incident in central Ramallah, Israeli security forces raided a shop in the early hours of Friday, leading to clashes between residents and soldiers, witnesses said. The Shin Bet intelligence agency said Salam is a member of Hamas from the West Bank village of Luban and that he admitted to carrying out the attack.
Hebron: Israeli soldiers and settlers fatally shot a Palestinian youth on Wednesday in Hebron, making the number of Palestinian casualties since early October reach 118, WAFA reported citing security sources.
More than half of the Palestinians fatalities have been alleged attackers.
