Palestinian assailant killed in stabbing attack

The expectation of Israel’s political leadership is that more violent crackdowns will eventually beat the Palestinian into submission, with Netanyahu notably declaring recently that Israel will “live forever by the sword”. Israeli forces have killed 90 Palestinians, some while carrying out assaults and others in clashes with police and troops.

But divisions remain between the US and Israel.

As stated by Wafa News, many Palestinians in Area C of the occupied West Bank, under complete Israeli occupation control, have no choice but to build without permits to be able to provide a shelter for their families, risking demolition of their residential structures by the IOF.

“We must achieve a two-state solution with a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital”, he said.

The violence continued as Mr. Kerry was in Israel and the West Bank.

The new bill also comes on the heels of uproar in Israel over Ahmed Manasrah, a 13-year-old Palestinian who was critically injured after being shot while allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli in Jerusalem last month.

The ministry said the man died in Ramallah hospital. Israeli security forces have killed at least 80 Palestinians, the majority of whom were shot dead while allegedly attacking Israelis. On a visit to the West Bank on Monday, Netanyahu didn’t suggest he was adopting a softer approach. “A Palestinian assailant stabbed and wounded an Israeli at the Al Fawwar junction”, the military said in a statement.

The violence has also killed 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean. Kerry mentioned Schwartz twice by name.
