Palestinian driver rams Israeli soldiers in West Bank, shot dead
The brother of a Palestinian teenager who died in unclear circumstances in October was among three Palestinians – including one suspected attacker – killed on Friday by Israeli fire, authorities said. Since Oct 1, near daily attacks and clashes between Palestinians and soldiers have killed 116 on the Palestinian side, 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean.
The Palestinian coalition called the world community to take a stand against the Israeli atrocities, which are being committed against the Palestinians.

On the same day, another Palestinian was shot and injured by Israeli soldiers after he allegedly opened fire at the troops at the Gilboa crossing near Jenin.
Forces there “shot the attacker, resulting in his death”, it said, adding that no Israelis were hurt.
In Kafr Qaddoum village, the Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly nonviolent protest and wounded three Palestinians. He was identified by the Palestinian Ministry of Health as Sami Madi, in his 30s. The surrounding area has become a focal point for protests in this latest outbreak of unrest which has now lasted more than two months, costing 20 Jewish, and more than 110 Palestinian lives. She said Israeli forces were searching for the suspect who fled in a van. The suspect was identified by the military as Mahmad Abd El Halim Abd El Hamid Salam. The Shin Bet intelligence agency said Salam is a member of Hamas from the West Bank village of Luban and that he admitted to carrying out the attack. Palestinians have seen an escalation of brutality from the Israelis, and the global community has turned its back to our cause.

The violence has been fuelled by a number of factors, including frustration at the failure of long-running peace efforts, Israel’s 48-year occupation, and tensions over a shrine in Jerusalem that is holy to both Muslims and Jews.
