Palestinian killed after stabbing man in Jerusalem
Israelis said late on Sunday they had shot dead a Palestinian man in a similar case near the illegal Israeli settlement bloc of Gush Etzion, north of Bethlehem.
A hospital spokeswoman said a 51-year-old Israeli was lightly injured when hit by the taxi.
It is the third Palestinian assailant killed by security forces amid attacks – and attempted ones – in the West Bank throughout the day.
Earlier, a Palestinian teenager was killed while she was trying to stab two Israeli women at a junction popular with Jewish settlers, police said.
Sunday’s attacks came two days before Kerry is scheduled to arrive in an attempt to calm tensions stemming from a two-month wave of violence that shows no signs of slowing.
An assailant stabbed and wounded four Israelis, including a 13-year-old girl, in southern Israel on Saturday before fleeing the scene, setting off a large manhunt, police said.
Since October 1, Israeli forces or settlers have killed 91 Palestinians, including unarmed bystanders, protesters and alleged attackers.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the attack was at a junction south of Nablus.
The US State Department announced on Saturday that Secretary of State John Kerry would visit Israel in the coming week.
The Israeli army shut down the busy Route 60 after the attack, causing a large traffic jam.

Authorities in the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba shut down schools on Sunday so that students could join the protests, nrg reported.
Security forces are hunting for the attacker, who is believed to be a Palestinian.
