Palestinian man shot, killed during clashes with Israeli forces in Hebron
Three Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank and Gaza on the 11th Friday of the third Palestinian “intifada” (uprising), according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Near Hebron, a large West Bank city where anti-Israel hostility is strong, a Palestinian motorist tried to ram troops who then shot him dead, the army spokesman’s office said.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as 22-year-old Oday Ersheid, whose brother had also been killed at the hands of Israelis during similar clashes in October.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said that 85% of Palestinians who were killed by Israeli troops since the beginning of unrest in early October were “extra-judicially executed”.
The Palestinian health ministry said Sami Maadi, 41, died in the incident east of the refugee camp of Al-Bureij.
According to IMEMC, the Israeli soldiers targeted medics, opened fire on a Red Crescent ambulance causing damage to its windshield, and searched an ambulance while transferring a wounded Palestinian to a hospital. There were no Israelis injured in the attack at the Gilboa crossing near Jenin, according to ministry spokeswoman Arielle Heffez.
Earlier on Friday, a 57-year-old was shot dead as he tried to drive his auto into a military checkpoint at Halhul, near Hebron, the Israeli army said.
Erakat said the anger that fuelled support for groups like Islamic State was undermining people like him who had attempt to negotiate peace with Israel and had been treated instead to the expansion of Israeli settlements on the occupied West Bank. Palestinians say the attacks stem from despair at achieving statehood.

The Israeli army said that during “routine activity in Ramallah” troops were attacked and responded with “riot dispersal means”.
Three Palestinians were shot during the clashes, one resident said.
One of its leaders, Mushir al-Masri, called for “resistance until the complete liberation of Palestine”.
