Palestinian rams auto into Israeli officer, then is shot dead

The 37-acre site has been at the heart of the current round of Israeli-Palestinian violence. “Israel has imposed its policy of divide and rule, and Israeli Arabs have internalised that way of thinking”.
In June, he began a two-month hunger strike that brought him near death and heightened tensions in the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces destroyed it under the pretext that it lacked a building permit.
Islamist group Hamas has recently encouraged violence through online videos urging Palestinians to join a “knife intifada”.
The city of Hebron, in which the mosque is located, is home to roughly 160,000 Palestinian Muslims and about 500 Israeli settlers who live in heavily guarded compounds. PCHR reported that Alaa Hasan Ibrahim al-Khatib, 25, from Jayyous village, sustained arm fractures and a cut on his head. The evidence is everywhere, and both Palestinians and a small number of fearless Jewish Israelis have been trying to get help from the rest of the world for what seems several lifetimes.
“A Palestinian, armed with a knife, attempted to stab the soldiers,”a statement said”.
Last week, Israeli police briefly arrested Hagai Amir, brother of late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s assassin, for a Facebook post he wrote threatening Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.
Sadly, there’s nothing really new here.
An eyewitness told Ma’an that al-Froukh had jumped down from an elevated olive grove behind a relative’s home and onto the field where he was shot.
The eyewitness said that while al-Froukh would have known there were soldiers stationed in vehicles in the area, he was surprised by the ones near the field. He was later taken away by the Israelis.

Israeli law enforcement officials should investigate this incident and take appropriate legal action against those responsible for creating and disseminating this photo”, said Carole Nuriel, acting director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Israel office.
Fifty-one percent of Israelis support two states, down from 62 percent a year earlier, according to a poll the Hebrew University of Jerusalem published in June. “The team of officers at the junction opened precise fire on the terrorist”. PCHR called the shootings a crime of excessive force.
The attack against Ascherman comes as a wave of violence is roiling the region, with near-daily, seemingly spontaneous assaults by Palestinians that have killed 11 Israelis since mid-September.
To make matters worse, in what can only be described as a twisted form of idolatry, Israeli entitlement to virtually all the land from the river to the sea has led to almost 50 years of depriving millions of Palestinians of their basic civil and political rights. Israelis only started to talk about a deterioration in the security situation when Jews were killed.
The Israelis then “pulled his body for around 100 meters to the crossing gate and left him on the ground”.
They want Palestinians to be silenced and accept ostracism.
According to B’Tselem, the alarmingly high injury statistics “suggest that live ammunition is being used even in circumstances where no one is in mortal danger”.
B’Tselem now says “there has been a gradual erosion of the restrictions imposed on the use of 22-caliber ammunition” by occupation forces during demonstrations.
“For a long time, this has been the one issue that Israel presented as the main problem to moving forward with peace talks – simply because it was the only thing Israel could think of to stall progress”, the diplomat said.
