Police spokeswoman Luba Samri says officers approached a Palestinian who then pulled out a knife and tried to stab them. Two of the victims were seriously wounded while two others sustained minor injuries. “I screamed at him: “I am a Jew, I am a Jew” – he didn’t stop … he tried to stab me again so I fought him again with my trolley”.
As Israeli authorities have prevented men under 40 years old from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, violence has spread across Palestinian cities.
