Palestinian woman shot, died at the hospital
Elsewhere Friday, a Palestinian stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli outside a supermarket at a West Bank settlement.
The killing of a 73-year-old woman in the West Bank has raised fresh questions about disproportionate response by Israeli troops to alleged Palestinian attacks.
The incident occurred at the site known to Jews as the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque, and the army said around 4,000 Jewish worshippers were visiting Friday as part of a religious pilgrimage.

As Palestinian-Israeli street violence surged last month, Al Araby Al-Jadeed daily accused the administration of jailing “dozens of (Palestinian) political prisoners on charges of resisting (the Israeli) occupation”, Reuters on Friday reported.
MADA notes that attacks on journalists by Palestinian Authority forces have also increased, but remain a fraction of Israeli violations.

A Palestinian 72-year-old woman died of wounds she sustained in what Israeli police said was an attempt to kill soldiers. As of Wednesday, the IDF recorded 58 stabbings, five shootings, and seven vehicle ramming attacks.
