Palestinians conduct 2 attacks in Jerusalem
Israeli forces have killed at least 73 Palestinians, including 44 who Israel says were carrying out or about to carry out attacks with knives, guns or cars.
It said the arrests were carried out in a joint operation by the Israeli military, the Shin Bet security agency and the Israeli police.

The recent escalation in violence is thought to be motivated in part by the increase of Jewish visits to parts of Jerusalem holy both to Jews and Muslims, and the failure of worldwide efforts to broker a peace deal between Palestinians and Israelis.
