Palestinians killed in attacks on Israelis

Israeli police say a Palestinian was shot and killed after ramming his auto into a group of Israelis in the West Bank.

A Palestinian rammed his vehicle into Israeli soldiers at a bus station in the occupied West Bank Friday before being shot dead, police said.

Kerry left empty-handed. On Wednesday, Israeli media quoted an unnamed senior military officer as recommending that the Netanyahu government head off what he described as a “limited uprising” by admitting more Palestinian labourers, freeing low-risk Palestinian prisoners and better arming Abbas’s forces.

Later in the day, Israeli border guards shot and killed a Palestinian near the West Bank city of Nablus.

The attack occurred in the Israeli-occupied West Bank at a road junction near a cluster of Palestinian villages and Jewish settlements.

Hebron is the largest Palestinian city in the West Bank and a frequent flashpoint for violence.

According to Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene – where Palestinian protesters purportedly were throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at medical teams and security forces – three of the wounded were in moderate condition.

On the other hand, 19 Israelis have died in Palestinian stabbing, shooting and vehicular attacks in the past two months, as well as one USA national and one Palestinian man.

Yaalon told lawmakers that the project will take a year.

The fence will have similar technology as the recently constructed Israeli fence on the Egyptian frontier meant to deter infiltration of militants or migrants seeking asylum. “We learned a lesson from both intifadas – Palestinian deaths cause outbursts of violence”, he said.
