Palestinians killed in violent Hebron day
After an intense day of confrontations between the IOF and Palestinians in Hebron, this Tuesday evening the Israeli occupation forces killed a young Palestinian man identified as Hamam Said, 23, alleging that he tried to stab an israeli soldier. Instead they just started shooting him when he was a few meters away from him.
The ministry drew attention to the fact a 17-year-old Palestinian high school student had been fatally wounded by Israeli soldiers on October 25 in Hebron.
22-year-old Raid Jaradat was shot by the Israeli army’s fire where his body is still being held by the Israeli authorities, Palestinian sources said.
On Sunday, a woman attempted to stab soldiers at a checkpoint in Hebron, and was shot and killed by troops at the scene, the army said.
The demonstrators were angry at the Israeli regime’s move to withhold the bodies of 11 Palestinians from al-Khalil killed this month.
The launch of rockets, along with clashes between Palestinians in the enclave and Israeli soldiers on the Israeli side of the border fence, mark the spread of a wave of violence, which started in Jerusalem and spread to the West Bank and throughout Israel that has saw 10 Israelis and 58 Palestinians killed.
Most of the Palestinian dead were attackers, shot while stabbing or after stabbing Israelis.
“It’s about humiliating us”.
Islam specifies that family and close friends should be around during the time of death.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has implemented harsh measures meant to quell the ongoing unrest, including expedited punitive home demolitions, the closure of Palestinian neighbourhoods in East Jerusalem and strict entry restrictions to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 60 Palestinians have lost their lives and 7,100 injured at the hands of Israeli forces since the beginning of October.
“It also raises concerns that returning they are blocking independent autopsies, which may lead to findings that challenge Israel’s story about the way they were killed”, Bayadsi told Al Jazeera.
