Pangu Flaunts iOS 8.4.1 Jailbreak at HackPwn 2015
The release of iOS 8.4.1 made the whole jailbreak community uneasy, as it was rumored that it would patch the PP and TaiG jailbreaks. Instead, the team seems to be considering the possibilities of jailbreaking Apple’s next iOS iteration.
Simply put, if you’re on a firmware version pre-iOS 8.4.1, then we suggest you stay clear of any update that might be thrown at you from Apple.
Apple released iOS 8.4.1 download last week, and the firmware brought with it a bunch of fixes pertaining to Apple Music and Beats 1 radio.
Pangu team has a reputation that tells a lot about their capabilities.
Now I am not saying that the jailbreak is already there, Pangu, who teased the feature at the conference says that it is just a demonstration that the jailbreak is possible. So there are hardly anyu English reports of this jailbreak. However, this might be about to change as iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak has been teased at the recently held HackPwn2015! What it means for jailbreakers? Keep in mind, according to iOS 8.4.1’s security notes, it’s one of the most intense security updates in ages – patching a number of exploits from TaiG, Pangu and Evasi0n (see below video for an explanation). Anyhow, this is a good comeback for Pangu and we hope that this team will be the first to release an iOS 9 jailbreak.
