Panthers Lead The Way With 10 Pro-Bowlers
Riding the wave of an undefeated season, the Panthers had more Pro Bowl selections than any other team in the results announced Tuesday night.
Super Cam Newton, a leading candidate for the league’s MVP, has been selected for the third time, as well as fan favorite, LUUUUUKE Kuechly.
Coaches and players, who make up the final two-thirds of the selection process, voted last week.
Selected for their second time each is tight end Greg Olsen and fullback Mike Tolbert.
Houston, 26, delivered on a massive six-year, $101 million contract he signed this offseason, recording 7 1/2 sacks and an interception in 11 games before a hyperextended knee injury kept him out the last three contests.

John M. Bird, USAA senior vice president of Military Affairs, and former commander of the Pacific-based 7th Fleet.
Over the previous eight years _ or since the ’06 season _ the Rams have had players selected to the Pro Bowl only seven times.
Malcolm Butler, Jamie Collins and Chandler Jones are first-time Pro Bowlers. Stewart, who is recovering from a sprained foot, has a career-high 242 rushes for 989 yards.
Collins was named to his first Pro Bowl.
Jones earned his first Pro Bowl berth after registering a career-high 12½ sacks through the first 14 games of the season.
Typically there’s little turnover at most skill positions year-over-year, but injuries played a major role at running back this year. He leads the Panthers in tackles with 121 despite missing three and a half games.
The Steelers offensive line is having one of their best seasons ever, and the steady play of DeCastro has definitely been a key factor.
For the Pro Bowl draft on January 27, representatives from all five military branches will be included in the televised draft format. Turner has been technically sound and has started every game this season. Gurley’s 556 yards rushing are the most in a player’s first four starts in the Super Bowl era, and the running back became the first rookie in National Football League history to rush for at least 125 yards in four consecutive games.
