Panthers player on Peyton Manning: ‘He’s had enough … it’s our turn’
Manning will become the oldest starting quarterback in Super Bowl history when the Broncos clash with the Panthers in San Francisco on February 7.
They will have to undergo a similar renovation to be ready for Cam Newton and the Panthers, and could show looks they haven’t flashed before. Last year’s Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks was a pick’em, but the underdog was victorious in the previous five title games.
Newton’s biggest challenge of the season will be against Denver, and his Fantasy production may be limited.
“He hasn’t said anything to me, ” Gary Kubiak said.
Such plays have proven that Norwell has what it takes to excel in the NFL.
Norwell hasn’t stopped running this season.
The Panthers’ record on the year is 17-1.
Super Bowl 50 is on Sunday, Feb. 7 on CBS.
“But I really don’t know”, Thomas said.
“I wouldn’t say I view it as an extra point anymore”, Panthers kicker Graham Gano said. “I’ve never seen anybody who is that size”.
Newton said he hasn’t changed, and has previously responded to his critics.
Rivera said that type of leadership has had a trickle-down effect. They talk about skillset…. “If I do something, I want to do it 100 percent”. I can’t speak for him….
“A lot of it is reacting to what he does more than anything else”.
“You have to run 50 yards this way to get your helmet, then you’ve got to run 80 yards back the other way”, McManus explained.
“The public is clearly enamored with the supposed mismatch of Cam Newton over Peyton Manning”, Bogdanovich said. He gets his teammates to pose for pictures on the sideline near the end of games when the outcome is no longer in doubt. “Who needs the gym?”
The Panthers’ Josh Norman said if he’s fortunate enough to intercept a pass from Manning next Sunday, “I’m probably going to bow to him”. This is a kid’s game. “I know it’s special to have him back in the huddle leading the way”.
Rivera, a linebacker on the Chicago Bears team that won the Super Bowl in the 1985 season, will instruct his team to adopt the same attitude that Ditka instilled in his players three decades ago. In 1994, he won a ring with the 49ers as their quarterbacks coach. Michael Jordan was our biggest star, then Tiger Woods, then LeBron James. That’s what I see when you put the tapes on and watch the way he does the things he does at the line of scrimmage, the checks, the audible, the signals to his teammates as to what combination of routes he wants, you can see that’s all there.
