Pantic joins Chelsea (From Blackpool Citizen)
Chelsea have announced the signing of Danilo Pantic from Partizan Belgrade on their official website.
The 18-year-old revealed in January that he was set to sign for the Premier League champions, with the initial understanding that the move would be confirmed during the winter transfer window.
He will spend the coming season on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, who have a partnership deal with Chelsea.
Pantic becomes the fourth Chelsea player to link up with Vitesse ahead of the 2015/16 season.
He added, “I am honoured at the faith both clubs have shown in me”.
The young midfielder was a part of Serbia’s success at last summer’s European Under-19s Championship, helping his country to reach the semi-finals.
Brazilian teenager Nathan has already made the temporary move to the Eredivisie, as has former youth team captain Izzy Brown, and 20-year-old midfielder Lewis Baker.
Pantic impressed in the Europa League in the last campaign, making six appearances for Partizan in the competition.
