Paramount schedules three more ‘Transformers’ movies
In a recent interview, Michael Bay stated he would be directing Transformers 5, which would be his last; Mark Wahlberg has also stated he will be returning for Transformers 5.
Paramount announced released dates for three new Transformers sequels.
Hasbro, the second-largest USA toymaker, released the Transformers products in the 1980s and built them into an entertainment franchise – thanks in large part to the films.
Transformers 6 will drop in the next year on June 8, 2018, where it will clash with Legendary’s Godzilla sequel; with Transformers 7 landing the next year on June 28, 2019.
No date has been set for “xXx” just yet, but filming is now underway.
With a release date of June 23rd 2017, Transformers will go head to head with Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman for box office supremacy that weekend. The first four movies have made a combined $3.7 billion worldwide. The film will pick up where 2014’sTransformers: Age of Extinction left off, with Optimus Prime heading into space to find the The Quintessons, creators of the Transformers race.
However, the surprising news here is that Transformers 6 will follow on June 8th, 2018. That’s right, you lucky Autobots, there’s now going to be one Transformers movie every year starting in 2017.
