Paris attack- 5 terrorists killed, death toll crosses 120
With dozens still trapped inside, and the police massing for an assault, President François Hollande went on television to declare a state of emergency, his voice trembling slightly.

NPR’s Eleanor Beardsley says that French police stormed and took control of the concert hall, and two attackers there were killed.
Earlier Friday, two explosions were heard outside the Stade de France stadium north of Paris during a France-Germany friendly football match. At least three people were killed near the stadium, Gregory Goupil of the Alliance Police Nationale told the AP.
“Terrorist attacks of an unprecedented magnitude are in play in Paris”.
“I’ve asked for military reinforcements to make sure that no other attack can happen”, Hollande said.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday there was no indication that any Canadians were targeted or victims of the attacks in Paris, but that his government would focus on balancing security and freedom amid fear of future attacks. France has been on high alert since the attacks in January against Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket that left 17 dead.

The Bataclan lies just 200 metres (yards) from the former offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine which was one of the targets of those attacks.
The band playing at the concert hall was American rock band Eagles of Death Metal. “According to a source close to the group, the fate of at least two members of the band’s crew remains uncertain”.
HuffPost France reports that at least one gunman opened fire on the terrace of the Petit Cambodge restaurant in the 10th district.
