Paris attack suspect is arrested in Antalya, Turkey

That’s one of several connections between this latest attack and Belgium, a country seen as fertile ground for jihadist recruiters.
Since the attacks last Friday, 164 people considered unsafe have been placed under house arrest, according to Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
Three suspected militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), including one who allegedly explored targeted sites prior to last week’s attacks in Paris, have been arrested in the southern Turkish province of Antalya.
Turkey has detained a Belgian citizen of Moroccan origin on suspicion of links to the Paris attacks, the Dogan news agency reported on Saturday.
Also, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced that Hasna Ait Boulahcen, the woman found dead after the police raid in Saint-Denis, did not blow herself up as previously thought.
Another seven attackers were killed.

The Anadolu Agency said early Saturday that the two Syrians and the Belgian national – identified as Ahmet D. – were detained near the Turkish coastal city of Antalya.
The resolution calls on member states to take all necessary measures in compliance with worldwide law to “redouble and coordinate their efforts”. The Pro League, the federation of Belgium’s top soccer clubs, said it would play this weekend’s games as scheduled despite a recommendation from the government that they be canceled.
It advised the public to avoid places where large groups gather – such as concerts, sporting events, airports and train stations – and comply with security checks.
Ahmet Dahmani, 26, is accused of conducting reconnaissance work to choose the sites for the attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and were claimed by Islamic State (IS) jihadists, the Dogan news agency reported. Police raided the five-star hotel and detained Dahmani. Officials could not immediately be reached for confirmation.
BELGIUM has raised its terror alert to the highest level in the capital Brussels, with the OCAM national crisis centre warning of an “imminent threat” a week after the Paris attacks.
