Paris attacks: share your tributes, vigil photos and experiences
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A vigil in solidarity with the French people will take place in the city in the next hour following last night’s terror attacks in Paris.
A small but emotional crowd gathered for a vigil at Old Eldon Square as a show of solidarity to those caught up in the horror in the French capital.
The mayor’s call was answered as thousands gathered at the Quartier des Spectacles, two days after the Paris attacks that killed 129 people.
French and Australian flags on Newcastle City Hall were also flying at half mast.
More than 1,000 people are expected to attend Saturday’s vigil.

We will continue to monitor the situation and advocate to the governments of Oklahoma and the United States to send whatever aid and support possible to help and support the victims who were attacked and any other necessary aid. “What impacts those in France impacts us all”.
A special Mass by Paris Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois will be held at 6:30 p.m. (1730 GMT; 1230 PM Eastern Time) for families of victims and survivors, and the church will ring its renowned bells in a special homage.
Halifax is also set to honour the victims of Friday’s attacks.
The Alliance Française of Manitoba has organized a gathering at the province’s legislature building in Winnipeg.
The French flag is being flown at half-mast at the embassy and will remain so until tomorrow, as a three-day official mourning period has been declared by France.
