Paris attacks: Two more attackers identified, say prosecutors
A Belgian man has been identified as the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks.
Abaaoud grew up in the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek, which has emerged as a key focus of investigations into the Paris atrocity.
One of the assailants was named as Samy Amimour, 28, who is believed to have been a part of the group of suicide bombers at the Bataclan theatre, BFMTV, a local news network reported.
He was put under judicial supervision and he broke the conditions of his bail in late 2013, causing an worldwide arrest warrant to be issued against him.
Amimour was one of the Bataclan concert hall bombers.
The official, who has direct knowledge of the investigation, was not authorized to be publicly identified as speaking about the ongoing probe.
Salah Abdeslam reportedly rented a Volkswagen Polo in Belgium that carried a few of the attackers to their targets.
The Syria-based group later claimed responsibility.
The second was carrying a Syrian passport in the name of Ahmad Al Mohammad, although authorities said the authenticity of the document had yet to be verified.
It said fingerprints from the attacker match those of someone who passed through Greece in October. Investigators are still trying to establish if the passport is genuine. These actions will continue. Another brother, Mohamed Abdeslam, was released without charge today after he was detained at the weekend. Seven people have so far been taken into custody.
President Francois Hollande said the attacks – the deadliest on European soil since the 2004 Madrid train bombings killed 191 – were carried out by Daesh.
