Parker out for Bucks this week with foot sprain
Jabari Parker will be out at least three games with a mid-foot sprain, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo!
The Bucks said the sprain was in the middle of the right foot. Parker just recently started to ramp up his workload because his knee has been responding well, and his minute limit was expected to increase to 30. Before the season, general manager John Hammond told the AP, “If we think (Parker) can play 30 minutes, we’ll probably play him 15”. Parker will undergo additional testing today and did not accompany the team on this week’s three-game road trip.
Parker recorded season-highs in points (12) and minutes (30) this past Saturday in the Bucks’ 108-105 victory in double-overtime against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He sustained a fracture in the same foot as a senior in high school while playing in the FIBA U17 World Championship tournament. Head coach Jason Kidd has successfully shuffled his lineup before to accommodate Parker’s absence, and he will have to do so again.
“We’ll keep it around 25 and we’ll build it up and see how the week goes”.
It looks like LeBron is doing as well off the court as he is on it. In the first 10 games of this National Basketball Association season, James is averaging 27.0 points per game with 6.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
