Party like it’s 1999: Denver to celebrate another Super Bowl
Following their 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, the Denver Broncos’ victory parade will get started on Tuesday afternoon and is free and open to the public in downtown Denver.
“I didn’t get the fumble, but we can play tit for tat”, Newton said, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Cam Newton drew the ire of the National Football League world after holding a contentious postgame press conference after losing the Super Bowl, eventually walking out after over-hearing a Broncos player speak about how they shut him down. I am happy to say that. Newton, who had just lost the biggest game of his career to date, likely could hear the Broncos defender talking when he chose to leave the room.
“We’re gonna give Peyton plenty of time to think about what he wants to do”, Elway said. “This isn’t a popularity contest”. “He [has] five MVPs and Super Bowl appearances and won a lot of football games, thrown a lot of touchdowns, and he’s played at a high level for a long, long time”.
Speaking with the media is optional on exit day at the end of the season, but Newton wanted to address the criticism directed at him since then. “And I don’t have to conform to anyone else’s wants for me”. I said it since day one.
Newton says he’s human and has never claimed to be ideal. “I want players who hate to lose. I am my own person”. This is a great league with or without me. “That is what you love in him. I have all of these people who are condemning and saying this, that and the third, but what makes your way right?”
“We didn’t lose that game because that fumble”. I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight.
“If anyone wants to question Newton putting his body on the line, they obviously haven’t watched… and that narrative is comical”, Olsen said.
“We will be back”.
“I’m just glad we didn’t have to play against our defence”, said a delighted Manning, the NFL’s all-time passing yards record holder.
One stop was The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he explained why it’s his job to make Cam Newton’s life miserable and why, at one point during the game, he even asked Newton and the Panthers why they were so heated.
