Patriots coach praises Colts during press conference
Coach Bill Belichick seemed a little under the weather for his press conference this morning. It’s just a big learning curve like it is for every rookie coming into the National Football League, playing against players that are more comparable athletically than what there was in college and seeing the different schemes and dealing with experienced players that when you’re an inexperienced player, that’s an adjustment.
Why have you been able to force Andrew Luck into so many mistakes in the past?
I don’t want to be too alarmist here but this is nothing short of a matter involving in the integrity of both the Patriots and the NFL.
“I don’t think it’s overlooked”, Belichick said. You know the storylines obviously. “They don’t always do the same thing every week”.
Ninkovich’s self-evaluation came when he was asked a question about “human emotion” and if it plays a factor certain weeks in getting up for games. “That’s really what our job is”. “I don’t think anybody questions Tom’s toughness”.
The undefeated Patriots will play the Colts (3-2) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
“All emotion aide and all that stuff, the “Win One for The Gipper” speeches, when you kick that thing off, it’s like [Mike] Tyson said ‘¦ but, I’m not going to quote Tyson”, he said. We’re on the other side of the ball, we’re trying to make plays. Nobody is buying it. The Colts know they’ll continue to be measured by how well they perform against New England and the rest of the title-contending teams.
