Pats injuries don’t make things easier for Eagles vs Brady

After losing a third straight game, the chances of winning are not looking all too favorable for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia’s starting quarterback is Sam Bradford, a sixth-year player who has been inconsistent at the National Football League level since finishing a stellar college career at Oklahoma.

“Obviously, the season hasn’t gone the way we hoped for”, Bradford said. “He’s a young guy that will get more and more confident and we’ll get more and more confidence in him”.

“Because that will give you a really good indication of him being able to go into a game and play”. Sam [Bradford] missed the past two games. “I think he’s a great football coach”. He said on a conference call Wednesday that the Patriots’ offensive injuries don’t mean a whole lot, at least not if Brady isn’t on the injury report. He didn’t play on Thanksgiving in Detroit.

Bradford was cleared last week from the concussion, but was kept sidelined due to the shoulder.

“I feel like in the past couple of games, before I got hurt, I thought I was playing really well”, Bradford said. He has an ankle injury. Safety Walter Thurmond missed practice with a hamstring injury, but said he expects to practice Thursday and be ready to play Sunday. Unofficially it’s the most efficient piece of blocking by an Eagles player in the past three weeks.

Pete Morelli and his officiating crew were so bad on Sunday during the Cardinals’ 19-13 win over the 49ers that both teams blasted them after the game. That huge time of possession deficit may have something to do with the struggles the defense has been going thru the past few games.

“We have to turn this thing around”, tight end Brent Celek said.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell, beaten by Brady in the last Super Bowl, thinks this week would be a good time to get a little more physical with the Patriots receivers, including Amendola. The Rams lost to Seattle. The Seahawks won the division on a tiebreaker. The Patriots beat Dallas, 30-6, in Texas on October 11, beat Washington, 27-10, at Gillette Stadium on November 8 and beat the New York Giants, 27-26, at MetLife Stadium on Nov 15.

Bradford injured his non-throwing shoulder, but Kelly said that the team wants to see if there are any lingering issues and whether the shoulder is affecting Bradford when he throws. Brady is Brady and Brady is going to make sure he demands the receivers that are in there get it done.

But they have three tough games in front of them against the Patriots, the Buffalo Bills and the Arizona Cardinals. Yet Bradford also pointed out that the goal at the beginning of the season is to make the postseason, and that goal remains within reach.
