Paul Pogba suspended for his Manchester United debut
In contrast to Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger, Gary Neville believes Paul Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United will prove to be cheap.
Now, Pogba has taken the heat up a notch, posting a video with him saying: “This guy [Ibrahimovic] wants to get famous, he wants a picture with me, he wants to get famous”.
But his second debut for the club will not come on the south coast after the Football Association listed him among four players to be banned for the opening weekend. According to a Tweet from the English Football Association, the Frenchman was booked two yellow cards in his last season in the Coppa Italia resulting in a one-game ban.
That all changed last week, when Southampton’s Jose Fonte was linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Asked if he understood the hype surrounding the 18-year-old, Mourinho said: “Yeah”. I didn’t know if the suspension would be in Italian football, a suspension for the same competition, or the corresponding competition in England, the FA Cup.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that out-of-favour attacking midfielder Juan Mata is happy despite the controversial substitute incident in the Community Shield against Premier League champions Leicester City.
“To have the luck to play for such a big clubs, to play with big players, I don’t know how many players have had that luck”, he added.
The Portuguese was in no mood to elaborate on the record signing’s absence, though. “He’s suspended”, he said.
“So I forget Paul for a few days”.
