Paul Scholes questions Man United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic signing
The Reds have handed already vacant numbers to new signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken what used to be Anthony Martial’s number.
The former Manchester United midfielder also believes that United’s squad is not as good as that of the French champions.
“Zlatan is going to start a specific programme we have prepared before he joins our group on Thursday, so he has five days just for him”.
A third Schalke player, 20-year-old Max Meyer, Man City’s Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho and Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Weigl round out the top 10.
“Okay, he is a fit lad… but he has been playing in a team of PSG and they created a lot of chances”.
Rashford’s meteoric rise from teen hopeful to the England squad after his impressive arrival to the United first team make him worth £18.9m, a figure only likely to rise after his 11 league appearances.
Bad taste, tact, consideration from Manchester United who gave the No. 9 to Ibrahimovic without an agreement with Martial, ‘ RMC chief editor Mohamed Bouhafsi tweeted. “More than he did at PSG”.
Scholes also passed comment on Manchester City’s signing of Ilkay Gundogan, who he believes will be an excellent player in the Premier League. “I think he is a bargain”.
