PCB Chairman disappointed as the hopes of Pak-India series die
If we do not it is going to hurt us in the long term.
“Not playing in the World T20 will only affect our players and our cricket”.
Pakistan bowling legend, Wasim Akram expressed his opinion concerning the ongoing turmoil concerning the India-Pakistan bilateral collection, telling that Pakistan should not boycott the World Twenty20.
Shaharyar Khan has shown disappointment as he said that the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has not kept the promise and the series between Pakistan and India would not be played now.
Any chance of a series is “over”, PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan told AFP, adding that the foreign office had conveyed to him that without talks on the cricket it would be “difficult” to arrange any series. “But yes, I think the Indian board should also give a clear answer whether they want to play or not and put the issue aside”, Akram said while speaking at a function in Karachi. Not enjoying within the World Twenty20 will exclusively have an effect on our gamers and our cricket. “But the issue of terrorism will not be completed even when we play or do not play”, he stated.
Clarke is believed to be playing the role of a mediator between the Pakistan and Indian Cricket Boards and was also present at a meeting between Khan and BCCI chief Shashank Manohar in Dubai last month. The last time these two countries played in a full bilateral series was back in 2007, when Pakistan toured India. He suggested if India wants to play, the series still can be held.
If India fails to come up with a schedule for a series soon, the PCB could move forward with legal action on account of not following the MoU.
“Our failure to materialise the series disappointed millions of cricket fans all over the world, especially in India and Pakistan”.
