Pebble Time gets backlight, font, and vibration settings, updated Android app
NEW: Notification preferences are now preserved after updating the Android app to a new version.
Pebble users can access the new firmware version 3.2 in the settings section of their Pebble iPhone or Android phone apps.
The Pebble Time just got a minor but much welcome update, offering control over the intensity and duration of the backlight, the vibration motor and font size. Pebble has announced a firmware update for Pebble Time as requested by the community.
New Font Size settings: Adjust the displayed font size in notifications, layouts, and other areas of the system. More support is being added for Spotify, Pandora and other music services.
The new “Dismiss all” action added to the notification setting will dismiss all notifications received through your watch.
IMPROVED: Support for setting up long canned replies to notifications.
To update the operating system on a Pebble Time watch, launch the Pebble Time app, then select “Menu“, then “Support” and finally “Update Your Pebble“. To match the current playback status, the app has separate play and pause buttons. You can get version 3.2.0 of the app on the Google Play Store right now for free.
The Pebble Time app in question is the official app for the smartwatch that manages incoming calls, messages, emails, notifications and more.
The Pebble Time, for those not up to speed, is the company’s first smartwatch with a color display, although it’s still not a touchscreen. The primary one is priced at $89. The update is good for both the new Pebble Time and the forthcoming Time Steel.
