Pebble Time now available at Best Buy, coming to Target next month
If you’ve been hanging out for a Pebble Time, now’s your chance. With Pebble Time’s boasted longevity of 7 days on a single charge, it’ll certainly last longer than any other smartwatch on the market, including those which run Android Wear that users would typically have to charge every night. Target’s availability will begin the week of August 17th.
Until today, the device was available directly only from Pebble but is now available online and in-store from Best Buy in all three colors (red, white and black).
The Pebble Time, for those not up to speed, is the company’s first smartwatch with a color display, although it’s still not a touchscreen. It works with both Android and iOS, and displays notifications from the phone, controls music playback, and does basic activity tracking. There’s no word yet, however, on when the updated Pebble Time Steel will be available beyond the initial batch of Kickstarter orders.
The $199 watch can be purchased today at your local Best Buy location or through the retailer’s online site. It raised over million during its Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, breaking the record for fastest funded crowdfunding campaign on the service.
