“That moment inspired me to work on what became the original Pebble smartwatch”, wrote Pebble co-founder and CEO Eric Migicovsky in a blog post announcing the new wearable. It will be offered with a variety of band sizes, watch finishes and band options.
Pebble, the pioneer smartwatch manufacturer, has launched the Pebble Time Round that boasts of being the world’s thinnest and lightest smartwatch, even beating Apple, Samsung and Motorola.
The Pebble Time smartwatch’s new version, the Pebble Time Round now comes with a circular design and weighs only 28g and is just is 7.5mm thin, making it the thinnest and lightest smartwatch in the world.
As Pebble establishes simple yet stunning smartwatches, it also continues to create products that improve and blend into people’s lives.
Aesthetically speaking, the Time Round is available in classic colors including rose gold, silver and black.
“It connects to both the iPhone and Android devices, displaying notifications, controlling music and other smartphone features remotely and running Pebble apps, of which there are more than 6,500 available”, The Guardian said. The stylish design of the Pebble Time Round brings a classy and timeless look, especially for women out there. The operating system of this smartwatch includes Pebble’s Timeline feature to see past, present, and future information, but it is now in Apple’s watchOS 2 too. It has the same color epaper always-on display.
It’s not cheaper than its rivals anymore. However, Pebble makes up for the shorter battery life by saying that users will only need 15 minutes to charge the Time Round watch. However, with Pebble Time Round, it all seems to have changed as it would only last a few days at max, following a full charge.
