Pellegrini signs new City deal
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his new contract is a sign of the trust that the club hierarchy have in him.
Premier League clubs have been criticised for spending millions of pounds on players ahead of the new season while failing to provide facilities for disabled fans.
The agreement will see his contract run for two years till June 2017, the club announced on its website.
“You can sign for 10 years and four months later you are sacked”.
“When the two parts are happy you can extend”.
‘I am absolutely sure that we are going to have a very successful season. He is a manager that every team will want to manage them because he is a great manager. Carlo Ancelotti had a contract signed and Jurgen Klopp had also a contract. Essentially, most clubs knew what to prepare for whenever they took on City.
“I did some things that I analysed afterwards and realised that maybe I made a mistake”.
“The former Real Madrid boss insists he can now focus on the new season after completing his deal and punters using their free bet may fancy City to pick up their first win against West Brom on Monday”.
He added: “When I don’t get the results I want, I am the first person to criticise myself”. Let us know in the comments section below.
“I think it is important to be focused this season, not to think this is just a transitional season”.
“He played just 17 minutes but you saw in those 17 minutes that he will be an important player for this club”.
‘For me a good season with a big team is that you must win a title, ‘ he said.
“In January it was a very good season because we were top of the table and were qualified from a hard group in the Champions League“.
The form of Vincent Kompany will also decide who lifts the title next May. “I think a team that wants to win a title must concede 30 or 31 goals, not more”. The powerful central midfielder is the most destructive force in England at his peak but his motivation levels were questioned last season amid speculation about him leaving.
“But we have been up there now for a few seasons, so United now have a lot more respect for us”, Silva said. “It is always in my mind to become better and I can improve this year by scoring more goals”.
