Pence: Trump is advocate of small-government
Pence referenced a police shooting in Indianapolis that injured an Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer.
Pence is expected to make a campaign appearance in Lima, Ohio later Friday night.
Friday began for Pence, by taking part in the annual Governor’s ride for ABATE, a motorcycle rally to raise money for the Indiana National Guard.
Pence also addressed the upcoming presidential election and urged the crowd to see what he called a “clear choice”. “We have Gold Star families who are with us today”.
The governor, who accepted Donald Trump’s invitation to serve as his running mate in the presidential race, has been traveling around the country for the Trump-Pence campaign. “To turn our ship of state at the national level in the direction that so many conservative Republican lead states have chosen to go”.
Gov. Pence said, “It would be just a few days ago that here in our own capital city, an IMPD officer was injured in the line of duty”.
