People Stabbed in Boston
Early Sunday morning, seven people were stabbed with knives and bottles on Tremont Street in the Theater District, according to Boston police.
As of Sunday afternoon, there were no arrests, and no information had been made publicly available about the suspect, but police told the Globe that the suspect had been identified.
The attack took place at about 2am, with police arriving at the scene 15 minutes later.
Authorities say six people have been injured in an apparent fight in Boston’s Theater District and police are looking for a suspect they believe was wounded.
Correction: Because of a reporting error, an earlier version of this story said that a suspect was in custody. The area is home to a number of bars and clubs which close at 2am.
Nearby Emerson College sent a text message at 3:11 a.m. stating that two suspects were at large.
Police responded to the stabbing around 2:13 a.m. on Tremont Street.
Some of the wounds were knife wounds, others were because people were stabbed with bottles, O’Rourke said.
The campus community was asked to remain alert for any suspicious activity in the area, NECN reported.
