Percent of Republicans Want to Bomb Aladdin’s Hometown
A release on the automated survey of 532 Republican primary voters did not include a margin of error.
Can’t quite remember where Agrabah is on a map?
(Just kidding. To be clear, the people polled were not told “Agrabah” was a fake country.) Other poll results found that a full 1 in 4 Republican voters wants to ban Islam completely in the US and over half want to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.
A whopping 30 per cent would back US forces dropping explosives on a kingdom fabricated entirely for kids’ enjoyment.
Those questions led up to the question about the bombing of Agrabah-which 13 percent of respondents opposed, and about which 57 percent were unsure.
To be fair, the pollsters also asked Democrat voters and 19% agreed to airstrikes, which would presumably take out the Sultan’s palace.
The polling firm tucked the question deep inside one aimed at Republican preferences in the presidential campaign.
The poll had Agrabah trending on Twitter on Friday afternoon as social media jokesters went to town.
