Perez Hilton receives fierce criticism over bath-time snap with son

In the photo, the father-son duo can be seen grinning widely for the camera as they mess around in the bath.

Perez Hilton has hit back after being referred to as a “pervert” for posting a illustration of him showering with his young son.

It wasn’t long before Hilton began to receive a lot of nasty comments saying it was “kinda creepy” with a few even angrier comments branding it “child abuse”.

Alongside the snap, he wrote: ‘Our family motto is: #fun!

However, fans and fellow parents defended Hilton, with one writing: ‘It’s not wrong at all.

“I had my bathing suit on, and I didn’t feel the need to clarify that in the caption”, he added.

“There’s nothing wrong with showering with your kids – it’s how they learn”, said one user.

One follower told Hilton: ‘No need to explain yourself. Personally, I enjoy putting on my swim trunks and taking a shower with my son as often as possible.

“Anyone who’s a parent didn’t see this as creepy because as adult parents we know the day to day life of raising children.”, and: “I don’t understand why people are so anxious about young toddlers and nudity with THEIR parents?!?”

The showbiz blogger turned media personality, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, has settled down since his wilder days and is now father to two children: Mario Armando Lavandeira III and Mia Alma Lavandeira, both born via surrogate.

Hilton later uploaded another photo of his son with the caption: “Don’t let the world change you”.

Since the post, Perez has shared another photo of his adorable son looking very happy and giggly at bath time. Earlier this year, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant revealed that he chose to go it alone because he “didn’t want to worry about a relationship of mine interfering with the happiness and well-being of my children”.
