Perez ‘not contemplating’ move by Real Madrid talisman Ronaldo
Ronaldo in connection with allegations of tax evasion in the amount of 14.7 million euros was determined to leave real Madrid and go from Spain.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez declined to speak about Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer situation at a media event Monday. Perez insists Ronaldo will not be leaving Real this summer, contrary to reports. But will he leave Real Madrid? I have not spoken to any [other clubs]. “I have found everything out through the newspapers”. “All this is very unusual”, Perez said.
They are keen for the Portuguese to return, but one school of thought is that the player and his advisers are trying to force Real Madrid to take care of the issue with the taxman. What I will say is that all must fulfil our obligations, but I have no doubt in Cristiano.
“It’s no coincidence that he’s in a very important tournament, the Confederations Cup”.
PSG: The Parisian giants have been linked to Ronaldo many times before as a possible destination for him as he nears retirement.
“I have never told Cristiano to bring me an offer”, he added. “I don’t know if Zidane has called him as well, I am not going to do it because I want him to rest during his holiday”.
Meanwhile, Perez hinted his club may make a move to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappé this summer, as he suggested “all the best players come to Real Madrid”.
As transfer rumours continue to swirl around Cristiano Ronaldo, the legal system in Spain is moving its gears. What people can not do is talk about him like he is a delinquent, that bothers me and is hurtful. He’s a very good person’.
“The presumption of innocence was not respected”.
‘There must be some sort of confusion which will be clarified.
“I’m sure that Cristiano meets all his tax requirements, it must be a confusion that will be cleared up. He is not like that”.
