Pete-Clearwater Airport reports record-breaking traffic

The new flights will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

Beginning this fall, Oklahoma City travelers can expect new flights out of Will Rogers.

To celebrate the return of the route, Allegiant is offering fares as low as $49 one way.

“We’re pleased to announce local travelers will have another vacation destination to travel to affordably and conveniently with our nonstop flights”, said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning.

Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

Flights will generally be on Fridays and Mondays, said Eric Fletcher, manager of airports for Allegiant.

“What a week. We just completed our 11th consecutive year of the Federal Aviation Administration Safety Inspection with no discrepancies and broke our all-time monthly passenger record”, airport director Tom Jewsbury said in a statement.

Las Vegas will be Oklahoma City’s second Allegiant destination, adding existing service to Orlando/Sanford. It also provided seasonal nonstop flights to Orlando, and plans to resume a winter schedule in January.

“Louis Airport will provide those in attendance with details on an exciting service destination that will soon be available to individuals throughout the St. Louis area”, according to a news release.

The $313 million airport sat empty for its first two years before landing its first airline.
