Pete Evick Updates Bret Michaels’ Fans about His Health Status
It was Pete Evick who first time revealed that his friend Bret Michaels is not feeling well and has undergone a kidney operation on 10th November. He also disclosed that the singer was not feeling good and was admitted to hospital for a number of times.
Pete Evick updated his friend’s fans about rocker’s health via Michael’s online site as well as Facebook account. Pete also mentioned that Michaels was admitted to hospital for six times in a period of only two weeks. We know that Evick has always kept Michaels’ fans posted about his health status. This time Evick expressed his feeling for his friend as, “You guys have to always remember I consider this guy my best friend…So when he’s hurt, I’m a friend first and reporter second,” he wrote.
Evick wrote a long note to Michaels’ fans in which he explained that with Diabetes, one has to take extra precautions and there could be some complications too. The singer had severe pain because of which this kidney surgery became unavoidable. It was almost impossible for his to perform. He further added, “It first started in Mundelein, Illinois a few nights before. Even though Bret kept that to himself, it was noticeable that he wasn’t feeling great.” Michaels suffers from type 1 diabetes.
As revealed by Evick, his singer friend had to stay in hospital on the night when Champaign show was scheduled. At this time doctors recommended him not to perform as they had put stents in his body. But he did not listen to the doctors and ran great show for the Memphis Tigers, as well as in Knoxville on following Saturday.
But while performing at Knoxville show Michaels got injured as he jumped with two stents in his body. Evick further explained, “I can’t explain the amount of blood or where it came from, but it was horrifying on his bus after the show.”
Because of this incident Michaels had to be hospitalized one more time in two week’s period. Evick further added that Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas was amazing the way they took care of his friend. At the Evick assured fans that Michaels is on the way of recovery and will not be rescheduling his shows. He is not completely recovered but much better than last two weeks.
