Peterson, Vikings tote high hopes to training camp

The running back and teammates were welcomed back to the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato on Saturday by a peppy crowd of Vikings fans as players checked into their dorm for Verizon Vikings Training Camp.

The Vikings took Saturday as a chance to move on, days after the two sides found common ground on a restructured contract that reportedly gives Peterson a $7 million injury guarantee until he’s on the roster for the third day of the new league year in 2016. That question has been resolved.

Tuesday’s announcement confirmed that the Vikings and Peterson have indeed patched up their marriage after several rocky months, with both sides coming away happy. “I think everybody’s looking forward to moving on”.
