Petition filed in Pakistani court against Narendra Modi’s visit
Narendra Modi paid a surprise visit to Pakistan and met Nawaz Sharif on December 25.
“We should effectively utilize our presence in the United Nations to project a positive and soft image of Pakistan”. “It raises security concerns for Punjab as the state is witnessing a sudden surge in such activities after being peaceful for the last 20 years”, AICC Communication department chief Randeep Surjewala said.
It was after such announcement, Pakistan Prime Minister comments were out.
The Permanent Representative informed the Prime Minister that the worldwide community supports Pakistan’s successful counter- terrorism efforts.
“Today, enemies of humanity who can’t see India progress tried to strike at our strategic area, a prominent airbase at Pathankot”.
The Indian National Congress condemned the attack and termed it as an attempt to derail bilateral talks with Pakistan.
First attack happened in Dinanagar in Jammu, second attack happened in Udhampur, Gurdaspur, Punjab where an SP of Police valiantly fought the terrorists laid down his own life along with the other police personnel and naturalized the terrorists.
Apart from the diplomatic stand-off with its neighbour, Pakistan in 2015 was in the grip of terror attacks with hundreds of people, including women and children, being killed in various attacks, mostly led by Pakistan Taliban and its splinter groups. These are important issues that the PM needs to address. Sources say that Modi has directed External Affair Ministry to keep his 2016 foreign tour plan to minimum. There is a heavy deployment of security in and around the air force base.
It is being said that Prime Minister will only go out of the country to attend crucial summits.
The year began on a chilly note when Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, said to be mastermind of Mumbai terror attack, managed to secure bail after six years of incarceration.
“All issues could be resolved through negotiations”, Sharif said.
