Petition seeks to ban ‘unprofessional’ Cam Newton from Seahawks stadium
I’m sure the hatred towards Newton has nothing to do with the fact that he beat them twice this yeat and prevented them from returning to the Super Bowl for the third straight season…
The reasons stated range from Newton being “unsportsmanlike” to the notion that he “dislikes Washington as a whole anyways”.
In the petition, the fan states that Newton is “one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual (sic) on the face of the planet”, and come next season, “when the Panthers come to play in Seattle, he should be banned from entering the stadium”.
Andrew Tilton of Seattle started the petition on Change.org, and it has already received almost 1,000 signatures.
Ban Newton as in don’t allow him to set foot inside the stadium. You certainly didn’t hear complaints about Cam’s behavior when the Seahawks won in the playoffs.
Another person wrote, “I’m signing this because as apart of the 12th man. I speak for all the REAL FANS of the hawks that you sir are an embarrassment to the 12th man. It’s people like you that make us look stupid”.
One Seahawks fan proposed that Newton be banned from CenturyLink Field. He threw a “12th Man” flag after the win over Seattle, and that led to another embarrassing open letter.
The Panthers were arguably the best team in the National Football League in 2015.
The Charlotte-based Carolina Panthers will next head to San Francisco, where they will face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
