Peyton Manning linked to use of human growth hormone
In the report, titled “The Dark Side”, Al Jazeera says in an article shared in advance with The Huffington Post that steroids and other drugs were shipped to the home address of Manning in 2011 in the name of his wife, Ashley Manning.
In it, Liam Collins, a British hurdler, went undercover “to expose the widespread nature of performance-enhancing drugs in global sports”.
Sly claims the Guyer Institute, in Indianapolis, mailed human growth hormone to Manning’s wife, Ashley, so the then Colts player would not be caught. Sly ends up talking about Manning and says he was “part of the medical team” that was helping the National Football League quarterback recover from surgery. ‘Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida.
Mentioned seemingly in a footnote tied to an article linking Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning with performance-enhancing drugs, a Texas-based pharmacist by the name of Charlie Sly dropped Harrison’s name as among the professional athletes that make up his clientele for under the table pharmaceuticals.
The report also highlights the ineffectives with the current American sports leagues and even the Olympic HGH drug testing policies and procedures and implies that changes must be made. These serious allegations came out late on Saturday night and are already spreading like wildfire.
Manning’s agent has denied the claims and Sly – who was secretly recorded making the allegations – retracted everything he said after learning he had been covertly filmed. “It never happened. Never”. The documentary raises questions about many players, including Manning.
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies, Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, and Mike Tyson are among those whom Sly claims he provided a substance called Delta-2, which he said is undetectable. The following year, he signed a free-agent contract to join the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos are 10-4 and sit atop the AFC West, a game up on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Manning “has never done what this person is suggesting”, his agent told Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera confirmed that Sly did work at the anti-aging clinic that treated Manning. He continues by saying that he sent the drugs to Manning’s wife, Ashley Manning, so that Peyton’s name would never be attached to the clinic.
Parise noted that Harrison has been tested under the NFL CBA several times and has never tested positive for drugs.
