Peyton Manning takes first step toward possible return

Yes, he was good in his first career start against the Chicago Bears, and, yes, he rallied Denver to a win over New England a couple weeks ago. Then if the Bengals pull off the win over the Broncos, Cincy then takes the head-to-head tie-breaker over Denver.

Manning has said he has no timetable for a possible return. “This league changes every week so we have to stay focused on ourselves”. New England can not afford to lose another game. With 266.3 passing yards per game, their aerial assault ranks eighth in the NFL-even though the team has been underperforming lately. Among their ailing players are running back C.J.

Vernon Davis – Oakland remains the second worst team against tight ends in fantasy, and like Roberts, Davis is catching most passes thrown his way (10/12). To shore up a depleted secondary, the team signed Shiloh Keo, who played under defensive coordinator Wade Phillips while in Houston.

“We’ve gotten a lot better from there”, Anderson said.

Asked if he watched Manning’s workout, Kubiak said: “Yeah, I am definitely involved with them, whether it’s film or personally (going) over there depending on what’s going on that part of the day”.

Oakland has proven that they can’t win unless Carr has a great game. Jeff George’s 29 TDs in 1997 are the most for the Raiders since they joined the NFL.

After back-to-back losses in Week 9 and 10, however, many wondered if the facade was finally crumbling – highlighted by Manning’s four-interception, five completion disaster against the Chiefs. They’ll also need to manage a resurgent Broncos running game to keep their meager playoff dreams alive.
