Thursday night however, it was all gold for Phelps.

Le Clos, who won the 200 fly at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, missed the podium in the 200 fly here. The second most-decorated USA men’s swimmer in history, Lochte said he needs a break from the sport. Lochte recently said that if Phelps weren’t around, “I guess you could say, I’d be the Michael Phelps of swimming”.
On top of that, his own coach believes that Phelps’ state of mind is such that a return in four years just doesn’t make sense.
