Philanthropic Taylor Swift donates $50,000 to young fan suffering from cancer
Taylor Swift has donated $50,000 to a young cancer patient.
The adorable brunette chose Swift’s “Bad Blood” as her fight song and is preparing to face the cancer head-on.
According to Naomi’s GoFundMe page, she was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form leukemia known as Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Under orders from her doctors, Oakes is not allowed to leave the hospital for six to nine months, forcing her to miss Swift’s August concert in Phoenix.
Last month after a concert goer missed most of the Shake It Off singer’s London Hyde Park gig due to a delayed flight from Amsterdam, Taylor decided to give her tickets to another show.
After receiving the message and donations, the family were moved to make a thank you video for the singer and film Naomi’s response for seeing the message from Taylor for the first time…
The family have appealed for Swift and others to share the hashtag #TeamNaomi to promote a crowdfunding campaign to help her “get rid of the bad blood”.
“Oh my God”, Naomi Oakes uttered as she lay in her hospital bed. “Let’s focus on getting you better”. It’s obvious she hasn’t lost her spirit when she says in jest, “I seriously think I’m going to pass out”, bringing the whole room to laughter. “I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family”, she wrote.
Some surprise stylistic cameos include 90’s one-hit wonders Eiffel 65, the cast of Grease, Barney & Friends, and Chef from South Park, who are all channelled through Vincent’s chameleon pipes. We’ve just got something in our eye.
