Philippe Coutinho plays down rumours of Liverpool exit
Philippe Coutinho has recently been linked with a big money move away from Anfield, but the Brazilian global has confirmed that he’s happy at Liverpool and enjoys playing under Jurgen Klopp, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
However, Coutinho played down the links, telling reporters, “I am grateful for everything Liverpool has done for me”.
Philippe Coutinho has responded to rumours regarding his Liverpool future by claiming that he is “happy” playing under manager Jurgen Klopp. “It’s clear, he’s great”.
Coutinho suffered worldwide disappointment on Sunday night as Brazil were knocked out of the Copa America Centenario at the group stage.
Coutinho did grab a hat-trick in a 7-1 demolition of Haiti but it was to be Brazil’s only win in the tournament, and now Ecuador and Peru advance to the knockout stages.
Coutinho joined the Reds from Inter Milan in the January transfer window of 2013, after a reported transfer fee of £8.5m was agreed by the two clubs in question.
The Syrian midfielder scored five goals and made eight assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach over the course of the campaign.
