Pierre-Paul holds charity event in South Florida
At least Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has a sense of humor about it. After staying off of social media for several weeks after his injury, Pierre-Paul surfaced on Instagram this week and then migrated over to Twitter on Sunday.
“What happened to me was not a set back”, he wrote on his verified account. “No man can judge me accepted God himself”. The Giants still have not had the hand examined, although it does sound like the second tweet clarifies how many fingers Pierre-Paul has.
My bad except lost a finger LOL. For a while, he hadn’t even been in communication with the Giants, though in recent weeks he has opened those lines a little bit.
The fireworks-induced injury coupled with the fact that Pierre-Paul is still holding out for a new contract has made this an incredibly frustrating offseason for the Giants. One of those sources said Pierre-Paul’s recovery remains “a slow process”, and that he’s still not planning to join the Giants until he believes he’s close to being able to play. No one knows how he will perform with only nine fingers.
It’s possible the world will get another look at him later on Saturday. God may have greater plans for Jason Pierre-Paul, as he wrote.
JPP’s Instagram post seemed to indicate he planned to attend, though that couldn’t be immediately confirmed.
