Pink Floyd to Release Its First Album in Over 20 Years
The band is all set to debut once again since 1994, when they release their very first album The Division Bell.
Being one of the top rated and most influential bands of its time, Pink Floyd is all set to release its another album ‘The Endless River’ after more than 20 years. This news hit the news-box last weekend that this famous and most loving rock band is geared up with its new album.
It is also announced on Twitter by Polly Samson, who is the writer and wife of David Gilmour, the Guitarist of Pink Floyd. The releasing month of the album is October, this year. Samson is the journalist and songwriter. Being the part of 1994 sessions, she was credited for multiple tracks on the last album, and this track hit the stores in March that year.
Some influential members of the band passed away leaving unrecorded tracks behind. In 2008, at the age of 65, keyboardist Wright and in 2006, at the age of 60, Syd Barret were died. It was a great loss of the band, and after 20 years it is now ready with some new entries. Gilmour’s recordings, famed bassist Roger Waters and drummer Nick Mason are the expected members.
In September 2013, Mason gave the positives about the bands saying that he would do the work; he stated “I’m packed, I have my drum kit, a suitcase and a wash bag by my front door ready for it when I ever get the call.” He was extremely enthusiastic regarding joining the band.
The band was formed in 1965, and has won Grammy award and has released about 14 Studio Albums. It has also gained huge popularity for its production of many celebrated singles. The singles, like “Another Brick in the Wall” and “Wish You Were Here” are worthy to mention.
